Appointments

Appointments can be made either by telephone or by calling in at the reception desk (online appointment bookings have been available since July 2013). You can either book an urgent on the day appointment (if available) or go for a pre-bookable appointment.

We always try to minimise the waiting time for you and, whilst we try to see you at the appointed time, some patients appointments may take longer than the time allocated, so please be patient if there is some delay.

We will also try to give you an appointment with the doctor that you prefer, but it may not always be possible. Appointments with the GP are 10 minutes. Each 10 minute slot is reserved for one problem only. If you have more than 1 problem to discuss please book a double appointment. Thank you.

Sms Appointment Reminders

Please ensure that we have your correct mobile telephone number in order for us to confirm and send reminders of your appointment by text.

Reception Hours

The office is open to deal with general enquiries and the collection and ordering of repeat prescriptions. We are open from 8.00am until 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Keeping Your Appointment

If you find that you are unable to keep your appointment it is important that you contact us in good time to cancel. This allows us to offer your appointment to someone else in need.

You should also inform the hospital if you are unable to keep a hospital appointment as it may result in you being discharged from their care and re-joining the waiting list at the bottom should a further referral become necessary.

Practice Nurse Clinic

The Practice Nurses provide a range of health promotion clinics, by appointment, aiming to improve the health of patients and helping them to understand and manage long term conditions.

The nurse is also available to assist the doctors with routine medical examinations and tests and telephone triages.
